Omega Seamaster Professional 196.1523 Full Service Calibre 1538

This Seamaster Professional arrived in non working condition. It had not been used in many years due to a broken clasp which the customer had been unable to have repaired.

We were able to drill out the broken, rusted pin which was stuck in the clasp using a Carbide drill bit specially designed for drilling hardened steel.

With the clasp rebuilt we began the process of refinishing the bracelet. This is a key part of a Seamaster Professional service. The unique nature of the two toned finish makes this a skilled and time consuming job to do correctly.

Whilst the work on the bracelet is completed the Omega 1538 movement is serviced. This was necessary as the watch had not been used in many years. The case is rebuilt with new genuine Omega seals on case back and crown. The finest Swiss Renata battery is fitted and the best available Bergeon seal grease applied to ensure the watch passes it's pressure test.

The watch passes with flying colours and is now certified as water proof for 12 months to its rated depth of 300 meters.

The watch is rebuilt, tested and ready for the customers summer holiday. It's can now travel with him rather than sit in a draw at home. This repair cost £220 and took 1 week, if you have a similar watch which needs attention please contact us or visit our workshop on Trinity Walk
