Water damaged Tag Heuer Repair - CAH1015

Tag Heuer F1 Grand Date with Water Damage.

This watch arrived at the workshop having been partially repaired. The watch received water damage a few years ago and the customer sent the watch away for repair with a major high street jeweller. The quote received was just under £600.

The watch has a corroded dial and water damaged hands. The owner rejected the repair and chose instead to have another watchmaker replace the movement but no other work.

In this condition it works perfectly but the watch is cosmetically damaged and the owner has fallen out of love with it.

The two tone polishing is all but gone on the heavily scratched bracelet.

The dial looks even worse out of the case. It requires a genuine Tag Heuer CAH1015 dial replacement. The hands will need replacing too.

The black Tag Heuer writing needs replacement. At this point with the inspection complete, we order the required parts and completely strip the watch to its component parts. The case and bracelet are refinished including the two tone polishing.

The new dial, hands and seal arrive the next day.

The watch is rebuilt. The refinished, case and bracelet are fresh out of the ultrasonic cleaner and look as good as new.

Next a fresh Renata battery is fitted, new seals and a pressure test to ensure the case is now waterproof. It now has a 12 month warranty and is back in good order.
